Winning bumper SIR ARGUS made a couple of early mistakes on his hurdling bow at Clonmel but was in front when coming down two out. He can grab his first victory under a professional rider for the first time. Abbeydale couldn't quite get past the winner on very testing ground at Wexford but there's no reason he shouldn't act on today's ground. His stablemate Jeepydoff Meel looks a nice prospect after a very good run at Thurles, a race that has worked out well, while the selection's stable companion Haxo, a minor winner on the Flat in France, ran easily his best race to date over hurdles on this track last February.
