Dewcup has been here twice, winning a bumper and a maiden hurdle very easily but BEACON EDGE landed a maiden hurdle here in a canter and was beaten in photo-finishes in Grade 2 and Listed company at Naas in the spring. Curlew Hill was slightly disappointing on his hurdling bow at Kilbeggan but made no mistake with an impressive victory back there last month. Fusain showed real potential on his arrival from France last year and had a canter round Kilbeggan to lose his maiden tag earlier this month while Hybery had an easy victory at Wexford but was well beaten when stepping up in grade at Kilbeggan.
