Verdict

Jody McGarvey and GREAT FIELD have proved an irresistible combination since teaming up at Gowran in January and haven't seen a rival in three starts, making all for facile victories in each case. He's had to overcome a couple of bad mistakes in the process and these fences could catch him out but he'll be very difficult to beat. His stable companion Listen Dear is also a front-runner so tactics will be interesting. She was very disappointing in a Listed contest at Naas but that wasn't her form while another from the yard, Townshend, also likes to blast off in front as he did when gaining a very easy victory on the latter track though he' well held by Ballyoisin on their run at Fairyhouse in January and the latter could provide the main threat if staying on his feet. Ball D'arc could benefit from a furious pace set by the Mullins runners as he stays on strongly over this trip though might just prefer slightly further. His stable companion A Toi Phil couldn't get to Disco in the Champion Novices' here on Tuesday though that looked a stronger race than this. Ordinary World produced a smart performance behind Altior in the Arkle and wouldn't need much more to get competitive in what should be an intriguing tactical battle.
