    Verdict

Thatcherite likes it here but missed the whole of last season and could have been better drawn. Perfect Symphony ended last year with a victory in a two-year-old maiden at Newcastle but would do very well to win this from his draw on the wide outside. LUCKY BEGGAR began the last campaign on a 17lb higher mark which he couldn't cope with. He changed stables mid-term and looked on the way back to some sort of form at Redcar last week so gets the nod from his inside berth. Paul Midgley has some smart sprinters in the yard and the former William Haggas based Tarboosh should be winning before long but Spirit Of Wedza rarely wins and has it all to so from stall eleven. The locally-trained Compton Park looks a threat to all as he was conceding 6lb when runner-up to Ticks The Boxes at Newcastle and will be receiving 9lb here with his rider's claim taken into account. Lawless Louis has a long absence to overcome on his debut against older horses but is well enough drawn if ready.
