Supporters of GIANT SEQUOIA have had their fingers burnt on a couple of occasions since he arrived from the UK but this looks a good chance to recoup losses. John Supple's charge was caught in the shadow of the post by Ikansea at Limerick last time and though that was over slightly shorter he has no problems with this trip. He was earlier beaten into second by Winners Toast but the faster ground here may enable him to reverse the form with Eoin Doyle's gelding. Almanyan is 6lbs higher for beating Foreigner at Downpatrick in August and has since been well beaten on the level but Cool Oscar hasn't had much racing and looked on the upgrade when beating Sir Vincent on 5lbs lower at Gowran earlier this month.
