Verdict
Surprisingly, Willie Mullins has never won this but will be hoping to put matters right with Very Vite though the son of Presenting bred for chasing. Howth is another who will be better when sent jumping while Val D'Auberge is related to several winning staying chasers and hurdlers. Backspin is from a family of excellent jumpers but the market will probably prove the best guide here and perhaps NICENE CREED, who is by Hernando out of a mare who won a Listed race over 1m2f, will attract some support as he has more pace in his pedigree than most of these. The superbly-bred Mississippi River would prove one to note if getting a run from his reserve spot.
