Verdict

JOURNEY WITH ME was unbeaten in a point-to-point, a bumper and maiden/novice hurdles before falling at the last in the Ballymore where he'd led for much of the way but was fading. He was probably feeling the effects when well beaten in a Grade 1 here in April. He had Kilcruit almost five lengths behind when landing a maiden hurdler at Leopardstown but the latter, who won a Grade 1 bumper here at last year's Festival, then beat a big field of maiden hurdlers on this track. He couldn't live with Constitution Hill and Jonbon in the Sky Bet Supreme at Cheltenham then didn't jump well when attempting to make all in the Champion Novices' here. Both look exciting prospects with preference just for the former. Aldo The Apache won a couple of handicap hurdles last autumn and is bred for chasing while Broomfields Jeremy has run twice over fences.
