An interesting race with Cool Colonnade the only one of the quartet not owned by Gigginstown. Willie Mullins' charge jumped poorly on heavy ground at Roscommon and his two mid-summer victories were on good going. DALY TIGER won a maiden hurdle here last November and made an impressive start over fences at Tipperary last week where he jumped soundly and made all. He faces much better opposition here but can pass the test. Jan Maat has been unfortunate to come up against the classy Wicklow Brave three times and got very close to him last time so is an obvious threat. Swordsman looked a very promising stayer when making a winning start over fences on heavy ground at Roscommon though could find this on the short side in a small field.

Jan Maat (GER) 7-2 (11-7) Disputed, led before 2nd, joined 6 out, ridden before 2 out, 2nd and kept on same pace run-in, 2nd of 5, 3/4l behind Wicklow Brave (11-12) at Listowel 2m 1f gd in Sep.
Swordsman (IRE) 6-1 (11-12) Close up and disputed at times, effort and slight mistake 3 out, led last, stayed on well run-in, won at Roscommon 2m 5f hvy in Sep beating Flawless Escape (11-12) by 3 3/4l, 16 ran.
