Verdict

Balbir Du Mathan didn't run very well at the Festival here three weeks ago and is better with plenty of give in the ground. Peace News made a successful debut over fences at Down Royal but only scrambled home and this is much tougher. Screaming Colours had shown nothing under Rules before a shock 80/1 victory over De Plotting Shed at Fairyhouse but Roconga, who has been placed in five of seven starts over fences, should be winning soon. Light That has shown ability in three starts over fences and comes here on the back of an excellent run in a very strong handicap hurdle here last month but ROBIN DES FORET, a winning bumper and five times a winner over timber, made a very impressive chasing bow on testing ground at Ballinrobe and gets the nod.
