Verdict

A tight-looking handicap but FULLY CHARGED (NAP) has to be the pick after beating subsequent Cheltenham winner Definite Plan easily at Gowran last month. Alfa Mix returned with a fair run behind Sixshooter at Galway and the winner could give the form a boost in the previous race. Port Stanley has produced some fine runs over fences without winning and holds Western Run on their recent run at Fairyhouse while Batcio won two of three starts over fences in the summer and his latest effort was over hurdles. Lord Lariat wins his share and was only caught close home over an extra furlong at Fairyhouse.
