Verdict

Gordon Elliott has won four of the last five and has two entries. Irish National runner-up Run Wild Fred was no match for Cape Gentleman at Cork a fortnight ago and was well beaten in this last year. Davy Russell probably had the pick of the pair and goes with Fancy Foundations, an easy winner of both completed starts over fences and there with a chance when falling at Tipperary. Sixshooter scored over hurdles here and was placed three times in Grade 2 company. He probably didn't have much to do to make a successful chasing bow at Galway but did it very impressively. VANILLIER won the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham in March and made a satisfactory debut over fences at Down Royal where he looked in need of the run. That should have brought him to concert pitch and he can gain his first chasing success. Dewcup was engaged in the opener here yesterday.
