SCALINO had shown nothing before a better effort in a Tramore maiden then blitzed his rivals on his handicap debut over the course and distance. The assessor has taken a dim view with a 15lb rise and though the runner-up has been well beaten since the third has won. Red Jerry landed a maiden here and though beaten 13 lengths into third at Listowel that was a much tougher handicap than this. Kildorrery is much better known as a chaser these days but can revert to hurdles on a 12lb lower mark and Ted Walsh has booked Denis O'Regan. Supreme Vinnie ran well over the track and trip last month before landing a Tramore handicap a week later and a 4lb rise doesn't look excessive. Bread And Butter has been in excellent form all summer and was only beaten a nose here last month before another good run at Gowran while Golden Jewel, runner-up in the lucrative Ladbroke at Leopardstown in February, should be paying his way before long.
