Ameretto Son won this in 2009, his only success in 22 starts under Rules. He's been in poor form but invariably runs well here and is no forlorn hope. CITY OF DORAL has been a revelation since getting a stronger test of stamina and beat the in-form Ardglen 12l at Sligo last month. His young rider gained his only success under Rules for James Lambe and his claim may prove crucial here. Golden Alou lost his maiden tag over fences with a battling performance on his first start for Ger Lynch at Listowel and a 7lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run. Both placed horses, Knockmoy Jewel and Klassy, are better off at the weights but the winner appeared to have a bit in hand. Robbie McNamara will ensure Carheenlea gets a good ride while Willie Mullins is returning Bundle Of Fun back to fences on a 22lb lower mark after two narrow victories over timber and he's sure to come in for major support.
