Verdict

Jett was conceding 8lb to PEREGRINE RUN when beaten a nose at Killarney so should have no problems reversing the form off levels. However, that looked a falsely-run race as there were only four runners and they finished in a heap and the winner has since gone on to land the Mayo National at Ballinrobe in superb fashion. Flaxen Flare is best known for landing the 2013 Fred Winter at Cheltenham but he's had plenty of good days since then including a victory over timber on his comeback at Killarney when he had much better fancied rivals behind. He hasn't done as well over fences since making a successful debut back in 2015 but isn't one to give up on just yet. His stable companion Barra looked a nice chasing prospect when scoring at Kilbeggan in July but hasn't made the expected progress.
