A huge field for this but CITY SLICKER is likely to start a short-priced favourite and will be very difficult to beat despite recent setbacks. He's been beaten at long odds-on for his two most recent starts at Navan and though not looking exactly in love with the game it's possible the very testing ground has been against him. Henry De Bromhead has his horses in good form and Grand Jesture, a winning bumper on this track, should do well over hurdles but Alexandr Nevsky is likely to need this after a year off since a disappointing hurdling debut at Sligo. Eligible showed a bit of promise for Tim Vaughan in the UK and will be better for his opening run for Noel Meade at Navan in November.
