        Verdict

        Paul Midgley has won two of the last four and has a quartet of entries. J R Cavagin may prove best as he's 4lb lower than his last success under Graham Lee at Doncaster in September. The veteran Muatadel, who is seeking his ninth victory, has run well from this mark recently while Astapor has already won three times this year and is still on a winnable mark. He looks the alternative if SOUL SEEKER, who was engaged in the Jump Jockeys Handicap at York yesterday, doesn't turn out. A five times winner, David O'Meara's charge has never raced in a Class 6 handicap previously so looks the one to beat.
