Verdict

Perfect Swiss is a dual course and distance winner who had dropped to a lowly mark when beaten a short-head here nine days ago and is only a pound higher. Bushfire took the lead at this trip when scoring comfortably over 1m2f on soft ground at Haydock last weekend so won't mind dropping down. The three-year-old ASCARI (NAP) was well supported at Windsor but didn't get the run of the race. He was only beaten just over a length and can gain compensation. Cosmos Raj was taking on better class over 1m2f at Ripon after scoring over this trip there and will be happier here while Mabre was beaten a short-head in a Class 4 handicap at Chester but though only 1lb higher he was ridden by a 7lb claimer.
