In depth

Verdict

Disappointingly just the five runners line up for this event and it is hard to get away from Indian Art, who stepped up on the form of maiden success at Goodwood when finding just Smokey Storm too good in the Woodcote Stakes last time, and he gets the vote ahead of In Transit and Senatorial. The last mentioned looks to be going the right way but he needs to improve again to trouble the selection. Reve de Soleil did not seem to beat much when landing a Hamilton maiden last time, while Keeptheboatafloat stepped up on the form of his debut effort when successful at Ripon last time but this looks much tougher. Mick Channon's In Transit has shown a consistent level of form and should again be thereabouts but Indian Art has solid claims and is hard to oppose.
