Despite the negative looking form figures, Putra Kuantan held his form well last season and is taken to give weight and a beating to Cimyla and Mrs Moh. Michael Jarvis's five-year-old hit winning form last spring beating Impeller at Sandown. He was very highly tried after that, including a very decent performance in the Cambridgeshire. He was only seven lengths behind the winner Spanish Don and should have too much class for these rivals. Cimyla ended last season on a winning note, comfortably beating Lets Roll in a competitive race at Sandown, he starts this campaign on a pretty high mark but does have scope for further improvement. Mrs Moh was a consistent performer last term, she is on a very decent weight but may possibly need a couple of runs to regain fitness. Of the others Newmarket handicap winner Alfonso can also make his presence felt, but Putra Kuantan has a touch of class and is our idea of the winner.
