    Verdict

    GALLIPOLI (NAP) is well up to winning this at his best and will have come on for his recent comeback. A winner of Class 3 handicaps at Redcar and Chester last summer, he's only 1lb higher than when beaten a neck in a Class 2 at Newmarket in September. Perfect Swiss gained his only Turf victory on this track though that was on soft ground and he's better on the all-weather. Rains Of Castamere completed a double over this trip in October, both victories on ground with plenty of give. But he was well beaten on his hurdling debut at Plumpton in January while it's a very long time since Cote d'Azur won a race. However, Les Eyre's charge finished strongly over the track and trip last week, despite losing a shoe, so looks the main threat.
