Verdict

David Barron won this last year and though three-year-olds have a poor record in this, dual track and trip winner Boy In The Bar has to be respected as he looks very progressive. Dark Castle last won a race a year ago on this track and though running consistently may be a few pounds high. Misplaced Fortune has a similar profile though he hasn't won for almost two years and would probably prefer some ease in the ground. Compton Park hasn't been in the best of form since returning from Spain with Les Eyre so in an open event a chance is taken with THATCHERITE. Tony Coyle's grey missed the break at Catterick so that should be ignored and he did well to get up at Beverley previously after being impeded.
