ROYAL FANTASY is our idea of the most likely winner with Pitbull and Dontpaytheferryman on the shortlist. The mare does have a couple of questions to answer after two moderate efforts but its worth noting that she was near listed class with James Fanshawe and it seems impossible to believe that the wheels have come off so badly. Pitbull has won at Pontefract over the trip in the past though is better known over a mile. Dontpaytheferryman bullied a couple of weak novices in plating class over hurdles before the handicapper took action. He is 0 from 11 on the flat so his presence in our shortlist speaks volumes. Rainbow Zest was highly tried as a juvenile though has shown little for Wilf Storey. Castlebury takes a massive step up in trip having raced over six furlongs at Newcastle. The market is watched. Noche de Reyes earned a 9lb rise from the assessor for finishing fifth in a Redcar maiden. Ming Vase is relatively consistent though seldom victorious. All In The Red was brought down in that very public melee at Ayr and if unscathed, cannot be ruled out of calculations. Lots of guesswork for punters and Royal Fantasy is given a drink in the last chance saloon.
