Verdict
Ballyconneely Bay lost a shoe on his debut here then ran a fine race in a bunch finish at Ascot so normal progress will see him difficult to beat. Fayathaan has had both starts at Newcastle, the latest when showing very good speed over this trip, while Conspiracy led for a long way on soft ground at Ripon and the quicker conditions should be in his favour. LAFAN cost Al Shaqab Racing 200,000gns at Goffs Breeze-up in July so must have shown something exceptional and gets the vote to make a successful debut though another newcomer, Bakersboy, cost 100,000gns and is closely related to three winners including a two-year-old Group 3 winner.
