Van Gerwen and ARNOLD both finished close up when High Security won under Alex Jary at Beverley last month. Ann Duffield’s veteran started favourite that day but was repeatedly denied a run in the closing stages. He also had excuses over 6f at Southwell next time and can recoup losses. Van Gerwen, along with Dazzling Dan, was behind Blissful Song at Leicester subsequently but all were unplaced.
