        Verdict

        This looks an above-average maiden for the track and Boldly is making his debut on Turf. Sir Michael Stoute sets a poser by saddling the returning HOSANNA POWER, second on debut at Doncaster last October, and Marching Band, another making his debut on Turf but only beaten half-a-length at Chelmsford three weeks ago. Preference is for the former, despite the lay-off. Paternoster Square has had plenty of chances but will probably make the frame again, though better was expected of Talis Evolvere at Wolverhampton in June. Pearling Trail ran green at Kempton and Beverley runner-up Wath Court is another likely improver but Hiccups faces a stiff task on his first public outing.
