Heathwood has struggled against the handicapper since landing his maiden in April but looks to be on a fair mark now and John Gosden's colt has to be considered but preference is for another three-year-old Collect, who gets the vote ahead of Calculaite. The last mentioned has claims on the form shown when landing an apprentices' handicap over course and distance last month but disappointed on his only start since and is now 3lbs higher than for his win. Jacaranda has been performing consistently well and has top be considered along with Thorny Mandate, who has run up to his mark in his last two starts on turf since winning on the all-weather at Lingfield. Little Bob would probably want a bit more cut in the ground and of greater interest may be Futoo, who has run well off similar marks before and has the assistance of Kevin Darley. Qualitair Wings is not certain to stay this far and preference is for Collect, who is less exposed than most of these and did not get the clearest of runs last time so may be worth another chance.
