Formidable Will gets the vote over Bank On Benny, Ours, Muscari and Ali D in a wide-open handicap. Having been successful twice at Southwell last October when trained by Clive Cox, Formidable Will had been way out of form since until going close in a Wolverhampton claimer on what was his first outing since January. He was backed at big odds that day so hopefully will come on enough for the run to make amends for his shrewd yard. Bank On Benny is still a maiden but is better handicapped than last year, while Ours has been threatening to win a race for some time. Muscari stayed on when third in a Wolverhampton claimer so is another that will appreciate the extra furlong, and Ali D is no back-number despite topweight. For the winner we return to Formidable Will.
