Verdict

Maybe Kings Shillings can provide the answer to this maiden, and he is selected ahead of Convivial Spirit and Roheryn. Convivial Spirit has shown promise in each start and cannot be ruled out of things, while John Stanley seemed to improve last time, although the form is not strong. Kings Shillings is a half-brother to six winners, so rates as an interesting newcomer, as does the 13,500 guineas purchase Roheryn. Newport Lass has shown promise in better events overall than this so has to be considered too, but the remainder, unless the betting suggests otherwise, are hard to build strong cases for based on what we so far know. This returns us to the choice, which is Kings Shillings.
