      Verdict

      GLOBETROTTER stepped up to this trip to land a Thirsk maiden where he showed admirable battling qualities. The runner-up won next time out so the form looks strong and an opening mark of 82 doesn't look too much of a burden. Specialist was left to come home a comfortable winner at Chelmsford when his main rival ran out but couldn't make the step-up to handicap company at Newmarket. Special Relation looked in need of this sort of trip when staying on strongly over a mile on the all-weather in the winter while True Romance showed his liking for this trip at Wolverhampton, when Tor was only sixth, though he's up two grades from 4lb higher.
