Snooker won twice on the Flat in Germany and hasn't been getting home over hurdles. He could well figure under Hanagan and Seldom is clearly thought capable of winning off his current mark as he was well backed on his reappearance at Musselburgh when just behind Cabal, who had been in good form on the Polytrack. Deep Applause could figure if fully wound-up and Beautiful Day ran well after a short break at Southwell last month and is rated 14lb lower on turf. Any easing of the ground would be a worry but CONO ZUR is very capable of running well fresh and has a nice draw in stall five. Ruth Carr's five-year-old is a pound lower than when making a successful reappearance at Beverley last year and 6lb lower than when just touched off subsequently over this C&D. He could be allowed to start at decent odds in this finale and gets the nod.
