Verdict
Star Of The East has been racing over much further but has no problems with this trip though he's now on his highest-ever mark after beating three rivals at Newmarket. It's a long time since Grandee dropped to this level and he landed a Listed contest when trained in Ireland. He's now on his lowest-ever mark so shouldn't be dismissed. Reverend Jacobs has won three of his last four and last week's Newmarket victory was his best yet so a 6lb penalty shouldn't prevent another big run. Tor carried a big weight when making all at Hamilton though steps up a grade off 6lb higher but Bolder Bob won a Class 3 handicap on the same track easily before fast going caught him out on a return visit. MUKHAYYAM (NAP) won a York handicap at this level in June and has stepped up a grade in his last two starts, finishing a close fourth at Ripon latest. He's looking on a fair mark nowadays and can go in again.
