    Verdict

Chorist is well in on official figures and should see off Ice Palace and Quiet Storm. William Haggas has two runners here but this one looks head and shoulders above the field and should take this en route to bigger prizes later in the term. Ice Palace was sent off favourite for a listed stakes at Ascot last year and should go well here. James Fanshawe's team aren't winning too many races at present but their runners have been finishing a lot closer to the action during the last few days. It is also worth noting that the trainer won this last year with the progressive Macadamia. Quiet Storm is much better than her Goodwood form suggests and should be more than capable of handling the ground. A quality race by Pontefract standards but Chorist looks too classy for her rivals.
