      Verdict

      TOMBOLO didn't look particularly suited by Chester but came with a late rattle to win going away and a 4lb rise may not prevent a follow-up. Epidemic is an obvious danger under Ryan Moore having scored at Windsor and Leicester at this level and still on a fair mark. Zookeeper looked one to follow when successful on his return to action at Musselburgh but then ran so poorly at Leicester that something must have been amiss. Billy Roberts hasn't won for two years but is very consistent but Chinese Whisperer has probably been bought for jumping while Smart Qibili was engaged in the 3.40 at Nottingham yesterday.
