Insolente looked a likely future winner when beaten a neck at Carlisle but missed the break at Hamilton and never got close. The stable also run Monte Forte, who started favourite when runner-up on his debut then lost a shoe on his next start. STORM VENTURE also lost a shoe when a close fourth at Chester where the tight track didn't suit. He should do much better over this course and normal progress can see him off the mark. Spirit In My Soul showed good pace throughout at Hamilton while Zaman Jemil still looked green at Doncaster and should get into contention. Look Back Smiling, a full brother to the smart Flashcard, and the expensive Colnago are newcomers to note.
