    Verdict

    Pigeon Pie has a Group 1 entry that that looks a tad ambitious after she finished last at Musselburgh. Fair Ranger will probably be taking in at least one of the valuable sales races later in the season having got off the mark at Doncaster last time and the third has franked the form since. But RUFFORD created a favourable impression when making a winning debut at York and, with further improvement almost guaranteed, gets the nod with Cool Bahamian and Milly's Secret having a bit to prove after their latest efforts.
