Verdict

Talent Scout is absolutely flying at present and is a previous course and distance winner, as is Flying Applause. Dubious Escapade has only been raised 4lb for a comfortable victory at Carlisle but Lord Franklin only scrambled home at Hamilton and faces a tougher task off a 7lb higher mark. It's going to be tough to keep CONO ZUR out of the frame after his staying-on second to Hakuna Matata at Ripon. He's still 2lb lower than his last winning mark and, with Luke McNiff taking off a further 5lb, rates the selection. Icy Blue has every chance of reversing Carlisle running last month with Talent Scout and looks best of the rest.
