Verdict

Hartwright began this season where he left off last year when winning at Wolverhampton. He can figure along with recent Catterick maiden winner, Hit The Lights. Dream Ally and Hazard Warning are other Polytrack winners with claims while Dark Opal won at Newcastle on her handicap debut though that was back in August and she's having her first outing since. Sand Boy is yet another with a shout in a competitive sprint but the top weight, RANGI, makes most appeal. Tony Coyle's charge was never going to catch Polski Max when third in a much tougher contest over track and trip last time, but today's faster ground and an apprentice's 7lb allowance could see him back to winning ways in this.
