        Verdict

        THEODORE GERICAULT opened his account over 7f at Lingfield last month. The Sir Percy colt should relish today's longer trip and has a head start regarding race fitness with both Buckstay and Gioia Di Vita. The latter pair ended last season with maiden victories on the Polytrack and should be winning handicaps this year. Kuantan One and Eric The Grey will have come on for their recent placed efforts and could also have a say in proceedings while Old Man Clegg is another to consider as he attempts today's distance for the first time.
