    Verdict

Susan Gardner has better claims than most as she arrives double-handed courtesy of Majestic Bull and SOUTHWAY QUEEN. The former has the stronger form profile but remains unproven over this trip and it could be his very lightly-raced stable companion who is the one to be on in a tricky finale. The nine-year-old mare has the assistance of Micheal Nolan who continues to impress with great regularity and the combination can score here if following up a dramatically improved effort last time when just inched out under Patrick Corbett by Midnight Lira over course and distance in February. She will certainly be on the premises if repeating that level. John Berry does well with his small string under both codes and Douchkirk has shown enough in ordinary handicap company to be of interest. Gilded Age is exposed nowadays but he is respected and completes the shortlist with the nicely weighted Local Present.
