This is another desperate affair but something has to win and the principals look to be Native Cunning, Ballybrophy and Thrashing and the tentative vote is given to the last named. The selection was pulled up last time out but prior to that he had been in fair form over hurdles and he need only run up to his hurdle mark to score. Native Cunning rates the main danger as he has dropped to a handy mark but he is far from consistent so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Ballybrophy is another worthy of respect but he has ran as if in the handicappers grip of late however this faster surface looks sure to suit and he has definite place claims. Of the remainder Lord Attica ran as if returning to form when third behind St Kilda last time and is from a shrewd yard that should be noted in the market but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Thrashing.
