Verdict

Captain Claude won on heavy going at Fontwell but is upped in trip and raised 10lb. Several of these had been threatening to win on good ground before disappointing on softer last time including Taunton runner-up The Bold Thady and One For The Wall, who finished second over track and trip. SHOT BOII (NAP) also finished runner-up on a couple of occasions before struggling in better company at Newbury and David Pipe’s charge may prove the one to side with back on this faster surface.
