TIP TOP MOUNTAIN was winning over 3m for the first time under Rules when successful at Uttoxeter and there looks more to come over staying distances. Northern Poet completed a double with a recent course and distance success though Hiway One O Three pushed him all the way to the line and that pair are hard to separate. Gold Clermont’s earlier double over track and trip came on soft going while Whydah Gally looks no nearer to exploiting a tumble down the weights.
