In depth

Verdict

Paul Blockley continues to have his runners in good form and Surfboard can regain the winning thread this afternoon, Vinmix De Bessy and Spiritual Society should be the ones to chase him home. The selection couldn't live with Dickie Lewis over three miles at Leicester last time out, but had previously been successful at the same track over this distance. This event doesn't look any stronger and he looks the best option. Vinmix De Bessy returned to winning ways last time out and should go well again, although he does look a little high in the weights. Spiritual Society looked on the way back last time at Newton Abbot and cannot easily be dismissed. Top Dancer and Spring Brook make up the field, both have a little to find on form and so we return to Surfboard as the one to beat.
