Verdict

Generous Jack just failed to give 7lb to Seaviper at Stratford in September when last seen and the winner has scored twice over hurdles since. He'll probably make a bold bid to defy his penalty again under A P McCoy but ACT NOW probably faces a slightly easier task than in her first three starts. She's already been placed twice and makes more appeal than course and distance third Saucysioux and the four-year-old Morning Herald, who hasn't been beaten far in either starts but is now tried over a much longer trip. Newcomer Triggitas has plenty of stamina in his pedigree and is a half-brother to useful hurdler Exitas so is worth a second look in the betting.
