Verdict
Keys, who has won twice on the Flat and three times in bumpers including a Listed contest, would have needed the run when second to Boru's Brook here four weeks ago. Providing that race hasn't left its mark, Tony Carroll's talented eight-year-old can be a factor today and makes more appeal than Santa's Secret, who didn't build on his third here last month when only fourth at Towcester. SLOWFOOT (NAP) won four times on the Flat in Germany and was second in a Group 3 at Baden Baden in 2013. Fitness is unlikely to be an issue and the booking of the champion jockey is highly significant on his hurdling debut.
