A decent contest for the track and time of year. James Pollard has been placed on the Flat since winning a Ffos Las claimer but PURPLE 'N GOLD wasn't disgraced trying to give weight to a couple of potentially useful novices at Bangor after winning at Uttoxeter. He's also been in good form on the Flat and, ideally suited by fast ground, could get the better of more experienced rivals off a low weight. Callisto Moon is another fit from the level while Hawkshill was second at Stratford two weeks ago but Guards Chapel needs further and is still climbing the weights. Lyssio should be able to handle this step up in grade but collateral form gives him a bit to find with Orthodox Lad at the weights and Ruler Of All may need this.
