AGENTE ROMANO has a very good chance at these weights and gets the vote to have the edge over stablemate Blacktoft and also Rampant Ronnie. The selection has one of his better chances yet of gaining an elusive maiden success after making the frame in three hurdles so far. Top-rated on BHA figures, and in receipt of 7lbs from both the other short-listed pair, trip and ground suit and today should be his day. Evan Williams' other runner is Blacktoft, who got off the mark on soft ground at Worcester in July. This faster ground is also fine for the six-year-old, who just has a bit to prove after failing to complete when last seen. Rampant Ronnie was a course and distance scorer in May, also on fast ground, but has struggled to find any sort of rhythm either over jumps or on the level and he is best watched until showing us some signs of a return to form. This looks a little on the short side for Capall Eile, while Sagarish does not appear to have the same level of form as the leading players. Agente Romano is the one for us.
