Verdict

BERMEO is stepping up a grade and in trip after completing a hat-trick in Class 5 handicaps though he's till at the right end of the handicap and the extra distance won't be a problem. The veteran Itoldyou loves it around here and has won in much better company though hasn't scored in a long time and may just need the run. Thekingofconnemara, trained in County Wexford, is another on a long losing run but connections would hardly be sending him here without good reason and he ran much better at Fairyhouse last time. Rogue Dancer is now a teenager but made a bold bid to lead all in the race won by Hoke Colburn at Huntingdon so the winner could boost the form in the previous race. Cruising Bye was behind the selection at Worcester but is entitled to get closer on these terms.
