Verdict

There are many in this field that have something to prove over hurdles after numerous disappointments. It remains to be seen what influence Tim Vaughan has had on San Silvestro since he switched yards and market support would be encouraging, whilst Barney Curley sends forth Sommersturm who was the famous losing horse in what was still a huge coup for the trainer in May. Therefore it may pay to keep a keen eye on the betting movements. However, without this advantage we side with RIMINI who has shown winning form in points and some creditable efforts in three starts under rules. Red Current will appreciate the conditions and with cleaner jumping could play a major role, as could Marino Prince who debuts for Jim Best.
