    Verdict

HEATHCOTE is our selection with Jigsaw Dancer and The Vicar as the most obvious dangers. A smart hurdler on his day, Heathcote left behind a modest debut to score with some authority at Fontwell. On that evidence, he looks a novice to be staying on the right side of. Jigsaw Dancer is fresh from a success in a handicap at Wincanton. He beat a few unexposed sorts on that occasion and is another to note today. The Vicar has looked none too resolute at times and having hung left on his most recent start, he ran out when very much in contention. Caspar Of Tarsus was moderate over hurdles and has it do. Marsam appears at his best when allowed to dictate and he is a winner over hurdles at this racecourse. A disappointingly low turnout for a good race and Heathcote gets our call.
